Welcome to TIDE Academy
TIDE is a school for those students with interests that expand beyond a conventional academic structure. While many students respond well in a traditional school program, TIDE caters to those students with interests outside of school and need flexibility to incorporate them in their life.
Arrival and Departure
At TIDE Academy, we understand the importance of a smooth arrival and departure process for students. Our efficient procedures ensure that students transition seamlessly into and out of the school day.
Uniforms
All students 1st-12th are expected to wear a TIDE Shirt everyday of class. Any appropriate shorts, pants, skirts, etc…may be worn with the shirt. Footwear must be worn to school. Hats may be worn, as long as they are not seen as a learning distraction.
If a student fails to wear his or her shirt to school, the student will receive Restitution 1 offense.

Holidays and Absences
We recognize the value of family time and personal commitments. TIDE Academy provides a supportive framework for students to balance their academic responsibilities with holidays and necessary absences. To prepare a student prior to departure we ask for a two week notice. This allows us time to gather and prepare all work.
School Lunches
Lunches can be ordered Chopped and we will also be offering casados from La Marimba. We ask that any student ordering a meal to please bring a reusable container for delivery. Lunch orders should be done at the main office with Sandra before 10:00 am each day.
Meal cost ranges between 1800 and 4000 colones.
We also have a snack bar in the Main Office that opens at 10:00am each day. Snacks range between 250 and 2000 colones.
Students may also bring their own lunch and snacks. We ask that students who pack their lunch bring an icepack as we are not able to store lunches in the refrigerator.
We have a microwave available to heat up any lunches.
